This 'n That....

There are a ton of other things that I should be doing right now, other then writing a blog post. But I haven't done a random Tuesday post in a while...so I decided to bring it back. But now its called This 'n That.

We are moving. I mentioned that a time or three didn't I? We are 15 days away from getting the keys to our new house. I am excited. I am also overwhelmed. We have a lot of crap. So if you don't see me for a few days...just know that I am ok. Probably lost amongst the boxes that are invading my home.

Things are going fairly well on the business front. The things I had planned to do/develop/start will still be started. I have had to push things back a few weeks to allow time for us to move and get settled. So, in Feb. things should start to come together.

Damien had uniform inspection last night for Cub Scouts. He got a perfect score! He was proud of himself and he should be. He is nearing completion of his Wolf Scout badge and can't wait to get that. He also has a pinewood derby race coming up. Him and Steve will be starting on the car next week.

***
I am trying to loose weight...again. After having a heart to heart with my Stepmom, whom I love greatly, I think I am ready to start taking accountability for my eating habits. Its a big step for me...as I am an emotional eater. But I look forward to being healthier for my kids

Just wanted to say CONGRATS to my brother Matt and my sister in law Tiffany. They found out yesterday they are having a little boy!!! I am going to be an Aunt for the first time :-)

Totally Random Thoughts Tuesday

Today's topic...laundry. Seriously. It is a huge problem in my house...maybe I should call the CDC and they will make it a pandemic. Because in a matter of days it has spread to every surface in my home. It doesn't matter how many times a day I wash it...and while I am at it, why am I washing the SAME pieces of clothing every.single.day.? It is a conspiracy.

My kids are in on it. My 3 year old changes clothes atleast 4 times a day. He gets one itty bitty drop of water on his shirt and off it goes because heaven forbid he should wear a wet shirt. Never mind that I am walking around with a spit-up stained shirt. He cannot have wet clothing on. Ever. The baby, he is in on it too. I kid you not, he goes through like 5-6 shirts a day. Because like his brother, he can't have a wet shirt on. Even if it is just a dribble of formula. Ain't happening. My daughter, she's a streaker. Put clothes on her and they *poof* dissappear. She enjoys being naked. I wouldn't mind so much, but heres the thing. She finds it necessary to take the clothes out of the drawer, and then pees on them or poops on them...that part I don't like so much. She does this every.single. time. Nap or bed. Or just because.

I swear, laundry breeds indiscrimnately in my house. It never ends. Ever. I hate doing laundry. Seriously, I hate it so much that I will wash it and fold it, but I will be damned if I put it away. I have 6 laundry baskets full of clean clothes...but no one puts them away. Apparently that is mom's job.

And while I am on the topic of rapidly breeding household chores...what is up with the dishes? Holy canoli batman!! I have a dishwasher, that gets used every day. How is that no sooner then I empty the sink and put away the dishes that are cleaned, that the sink is full again.

I have come to the conclusion that somewhere, in the darkest depths of my home, resides a little gnome. This little gnome snickers evily as he makes more chores for me to do. He comes out at night and dirtys the laundry and fills up the sink. He is the one that steals the socks and uses them as mittens.

Damn Gnome

Talkative Tuesday 5.5.09

May is off to great start. The weather has been pretty nice, allowing me to get the kiddos outside. Of course because it is nice outside, nothing is getting done INSIDE the house.

I came to the conclusion the other day...laundry DOES breed while we sleep. I spend countless hours trudging my pregnant butt up and down the stairs, lugging basket after basket of clothes to the washer then hang them to dry (since my dryer is toast...ugh) and I still see no noticiable progress. Do you know how depressing that is? And while on the topic of laundry, why is it that my husband can wash and hang dry his OWN clothes, but I am lucky if he remembers to tell me about the load he put in the washer 3 days ago?

As I mentioned above, I am pregnant. HUGELY pregnant I might add. My doctor ordered an ultrasound the other day since I was measuring big. Turns out I am almost 3 weeks ahead of schedule. How the heck did that happen? Baby is doing good, but if the doc moves up my due date...I am in big trouble. As it stands right now I am 8-9 weeks out from a c-section. I am not ready at all...how in the heck could I get ready in 5-6 weeks? Oh yea, did I mention, my mother in law is trying to arrange to come up to visit to help with the other 3 kids when the baby comes...my house is NO where near mother in law ready :)

I am thinking about homeschooling my son next year. I am quite dissapointed in our public school system this year...but then again, if I don't have time to shower, how will I teach my son?

Have a happy and healthy Tuesday!!!
