What if it were you?

For the past few days, I have been talking alot about The Barefoot Sisterhood and their mission to help other mothers diagnosed with Skin Cancer. The Barefoot Sisterhood has made it their mission to help others who cannot afford the type of treatment that they need.

What would you do if it were you? Do you know that a majority of major insurance carriers have stipulations in their policy that cap or limit the dollar amount of treatment that one can recieve? Did you know that the limit is usually much lower then what treatments will actually cost?

I am sure that all of us at one point in our lives have been faced with inadequate health insurance coverage to take care of our needs. I know all to well that sinking feeling of knowing that I cannot afford the treatment that I need. Fourtuantely, alot of times, the treatment isnt needed to save your life...

But with skin cancer, every day that you wait, every week that you let go by without seeking or getting proper treatment is like signing your death sentence.

Organizations like The Barefoot Sisterhood are seeking to change that. Every dollar that is donated to The Barefoot Sisterhood is used to help another mother with skin cancer secure the treatment that she needs.
